After spending much of the past year on the road with multiple acts, Kevin Hyfantis has finally released some new music and is hitting the pavement with his own material.  As a bass and keyboard player Hyfantis has shared the stage with acts that have opened for Train, Sara Evans, and Edwin McCain.  Although he’s often sought after as a quality band member, Hyfantis is no stranger to songwriting and fronting a band.

Hyfantis and The Bishops Band have been together since 2008 and have recorded three records.  The most recent self-titled EP is already receiving stellar reviews, “It’s an album that simmers with tendrils of R&B, folk and classic rock, showcasing some fine lyrics lifted up by Hyfantis’s Jason Isbell-style delivery of weariness, longing and hope,“ says Steve Wildsmith of The Maryville Daily Times.
